Teaching has never just been a job to me, it has always been my passion. I am so grateful and excited to be able to continue in my passion in this avenue, outside of a typical classroom!

I believe every student deserves a place to discover their confidence, express themselves creatively, and experience the joy of the performing arts. Whether we’re preparing for an audition, building vocal technique, or simply learning to believe in ourselves, my goal is to help every student grow both on and off the stage.

Why I teach

I believe the performing arts should be a place where every student feels safe to take risks, make mistakes, and discover who they are. My goal has never been to create the “best” performers. My goal is to help students become confident, compassionate, and courageous people through the performing arts. Whether a student is stepping onto a stage for the first time or has years of experience, I want them to feel challenged, encouraged, and excited to keep growing. I strive to create a community where creativity is celebrated, hard work is valued, and every student knows they belong.
No two students learn the same way, so I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all teaching. I take time to get to know each student’s goals, strengths, learning style, and areas for growth so I can provide the support and encouragement they need to succeed. Whether I’m working one-on-one in a lesson or leading a full rehearsal, my goal is the same: to create an environment where every student feels challenged, included, and valued. I believe great teaching means meeting students where they are, helping them discover what they’re capable of, and giving them the tools and confidence to take the next step. I strive to make every lesson, rehearsal, and event a place where students are excited to learn, confident enough to take risks, and proud of the progress they make.
The performing arts have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a child, I explored choir and theatre, but I often struggled to find a place where I truly felt like I belonged. Everything changed when I discovered band and fell in love with music through playing the trumpet. That passion led me to earn my degree in Music Education and begin my teaching career.
After teaching band, orchestra, choir, and general music, I joined Creighton Middle School, where I helped grow the choir and theatre programs. Over three years, choir enrollment grew from just 15 students to more than 80, and our theatre program more than doubled in participation. More importantly than the numbers, I watched students discover confidence, build lasting friendships, and find a place where they truly belonged.
Working with middle school students throughout my career showed me something I couldn’t ignore: there are incredible opportunities for younger children and high school performers, but the middle years are often overlooked. Those students deserve a place where they can grow, lead, and discover what they’re capable of.
As I step away from the traditional classroom to spend more time with my family, I’m excited to continue that mission in a new way. Through Mrs. G Presents, my goal is to create meaningful opportunities for students through private lessons, community events, and eventually a full performing arts program where every child feels welcomed, encouraged, and inspired.
Because at the end of the day, I believe every child deserves a stage.

Meet Jordyn Glasscock 💕

When I’m not teaching, directing, or working on my next creative project, you’ll usually find me at home with my family. My husband and I have been together for almost eight years, and we have two wonderful daughters (ages four and two), along with one very spoiled dog and two cats who keep life entertaining.

The performing arts have always been a huge part of my life. I’ve performed in productions including Seussical, Cinderella, and Footloose, and I still love every opportunity I get to sing, whether that’s on stage, in the car, around the house, or online. My husband and I also love seeing live theatre and live music whenever we get the chance.

Outside of performing, I’m a big reader, I love making and editing videos, and my family spends a lot of time playing games, going on little adventures, and making memories together. Even though I have a big personality when I’m teaching and feel completely at home on stage, I’m actually a huge introvert. I love quiet nights at home, a good book, and spending time with the people I love most.

The performing arts have truly shaped who I am. They’ve been one of the greatest sources of joy, confidence, and purpose in my life, and I honestly can’t imagine where I’d be without them. That passion is what inspired me to become a teacher, and it’s what continues to inspire every lesson, rehearsal, and event I create. More than anything, I want students to experience that same sense of belonging, confidence, and excitement that the arts have given me. Middle school is such an important time in a child’s life, and I believe the performing arts can become a place where students discover not only their talents, but who they are.

If you spend more than a few minutes talking with me, you’ll quickly discover that I’m probably one of the biggest Broadway fans you’ll ever meet (and quite possibly one of the only people you know who genuinely listens to classical music for fun). I truly believe the performing arts have the power to change lives, and I can’t wait to help the next generation discover just how magical they can be.

Throughout my teaching career, I’ve had the opportunity to direct and produce several musical productions. These shows represent years of hard work, creativity, and unforgettable memories, and I’m excited to continue bringing high-quality theatre experiences to students through Mrs. G Presents.
